Kelly Hansome - "Say yes to Amaechi"

Kelly Hansome's maga seems to be paying up as he has been commissioned to create the official campaign song for the current Governor of River's state, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi who is running for 2nd term. The SAY YES 2 Amaechi 2011 concert was also held on the  26th of March. Artistes that performed includes  Nwagbege Lazarus, Baba Funky, Arinze Baba, Kelly Hansome, Prince Hezekiah, Tha IBz, Romeo without Juliet and WaConzy C-RT. Nice campaign song Kelly!

Terry Ginjah celeberates birthday

Our very own Terry G celeberated his birthday on the 17th of March and did so in a most unexpected manner. The "free madness" crooner alongside his mother (whose birthday also falls on that day), his immediate brother Dmoney, Uti of Big Brother and other friends visited and spent time at the SOS Children's Village in Lagos . Terry Ginjah bought various gifts for the children and also sang along with them while he was given a tour of the village. Terry asserted that his good deeds stemmed from his appreciation to God and the fact that he loves children.

Controversial Kelly Hansome seems to have turn over a new leaf. Out is the old Kelly that releases diss songs  and in, is the new kelly that appreciates the presence of God in his life. Well this is Kelly's newly released freestyle "Jesus is my rock" which used Gyptian's instrumental "Hold Yuh". Kelly combines both English and Ibo language in this freestyle and its quite nice. Whether this Kelly's new phase is going to be permanent, only time will tell.

Clay whose real name is Bianca Adanna is the 21year old sensational singer and guitarist who recently ventured into the music scene. She has performed as back up dancer for artistes like Dr Solek, Ruggedy baba and 2face. She was also the lead girl in Obiwon's Onyinye video. Clay is presently a student of Business Administration at Lagos State University. 

Nenum which means "Look at me" is a very beautiful song with an even more beautiful message. Clay combines aesthetically the English and Ibo language to pass across a message of "letting people accept and love us for who we are" . Clay's style of music is very admirable and i must say that if she keeps dropping hits like this, there will be no stopping her shine.Enjoy!

When Konga dropped his hit song "Baby Konga" in 2007, the radio and TV stations went agog with airplay until it was banned later on by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC). Not much was heard from Konga since then,  but he then recently released his single "Kabakaba which features Remi Aluko and late Da Grin.

In a matter of minutes, the collaboration made headlines like no other entertainment news since 2010. Well, here is a short clip of an MTV BASE interview recently held with Dbanj. It seems the MO HIts crew have more surprises up their sleeves this year for both their fans and haters. Word is out, that a collaboration with  Kanye West is already in the works and a tweet from the American star to both dbanj and Don jazzy further corrroborates the news.

Asa's Performance at Victoires de La Musique 2011

Asa just keeps doing Africans proud. Remenber couple of weeks ago, we blogged about her nomination as the Best Female Act at  the 2011 edition of Victoires de La Musique. "The fire on the mountain" crooner did not emerge the winner of the Award ceremony that took place on the 1st of march,  but she was one of the performers at the ceremony. Asa performed "Be my man", one of the singles on her nw album"Beautiful Imperfection". As always she wowed the thousands of audience present at the award and i just have to add that she looked really cute in her attire, a yellow aso oke jacket (by a Nigerian Designer KemKemstudio) and black leather skinnies.
